Well it’s not every day you publish a book, but today is one of those days! 🙂

I’m so excited to have co-authored ‘Redefining The Rules: Incredible Women On How To Embrace Equity’ which has been published today, ahead of International Women’s Day tomorrow.

It’s been a brilliant project to be involved in, albeit challenging too – the timeline was pretty compressed! – but in just over two months a network of women from around the world have come together to make this possible.

Huge congratulations to all my co-authors and a massive thank you to the KeyNote – Women Speakers Directory team for the opportunity to get involved, and who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to organise and manage this project. It’s been a great team effort and just shows what you can accomplish when you have a group of brilliant people determined to achieve something.

We officially launched the book via Zoom and a live stream on YouTube this morning, and after the conversations with the authors, I can’t wait to read everyone’s chapters. (We haven’t had time yet as it’s all happened so quickly!)

They cover a wide range of topics from communication, education, relationships and leadership – and much more. Mine’s on how we should ‘mind our language’ and choose our words carefully because there can be an implicit or explicit gender bias in what we say, which we may not even notice. Lots to learn and think about when it comes to equity, for all of us, and I’ve certainly learnt a lot while going through this process! Even the act of writing about gender bias has heightened my awareness and I went from wondering whether I had enough interesting examples to fill a chapter to probably having enough now to fill a book.
